FAQ'S - For Properties on the Farm
What time is check in/arrival procedure?
- You are welcome to check in from 3:30pm onwards.
- Just follow the signposts on the farm directing you to your property, the keys will be in the door ready for your arrival.
- Alternatively, if you are arriving on a Friday, check in via The Apple Tree Kitchen, our Cafe on the Farm.
- We will pop over and say hello once you have settled in.
What time is check out/departure procedure?
- Please check out by 10am on your day of departure.
- Please leave the keys to the property in the door.
What is included in the cost of a holiday?
- VAT at 20%
- Heating, electricity (excluding the charging of electric cars), Wifi, water, bed linen & towels.
- Fishing on both lakes.
Can I charge an electric vehicle?
- The charging of electric vehicles are not included in the cost of your holiday.
- Electricity is charged at 60p/kWh to charge vehicles.
- Please calculate your usage during your stay and pay accordingly at the Holiday Office.
Can I bring my pets?
- Yes, we accept up to 2 pets per property, charged at £20 per pet.

Do you provide any household items?
- We provide the following complimentary items in every property:
- Tea, coffee, milk (UHT milk portions), sugar, homemade cake, salt & pepper.
- Washing up liquid, antibacterial spray, dish cloths.
- Tin foil, cling film & kitchen roll.
- Hand soap, dish washer tablets, washing machine tablets & 2 x toilets rolls per bathroom.
- Please note, the items listed above are not replenished during your stay.
Do you supply travel cots & high chairs?
- Yes, just ask for either or both to be provided at the time of booking your holiday and we will ensure they are in the property ready for your arrival.
- Please note, we do not provide bedding for travel cots, so please bring your own.
Do you provide BBQ's?
- Yes, all of our properties either have a brick built BBQ or Kettle BBQ, all of which require charcoal.
- Charcoal is not provided so please bring your own.
How to find us:
- Pitlands Farm Holidays is located on the B4204, the Worcester – Tenbury Wells road.
- Please use the post code WR6 6DX when using a SAT NAV system.
- If you are approaching from Worcester, we are on the left. If you are approaching from Tenbury Wells, we are on the right. Look out for the large sign saying ‘Pitlands Farm Holidays’ & ‘The Apple Tree Kitchen’ at the top of our drive.
- Go over the cattle grid and follow our tarmac drive down through the orchard until you reach the Farm.
Can I book a supermarket grocery delivery?
- Yes, Pitlands Farm is in the delivery area for Tesco’s, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons and Ocado.
- On your order, please include:
- The name of the person who the holiday is booked under.
- The name of the holiday property you are staying in, e.g. Kingfisher Lodge (Pitlands Farm).
- Please ensure you book your delivery for after you arrive, allowing for any delays with your journey.
Is there a minimum night stay?
- We offer the following breaks:
- 7 night stays (Friday – Friday).
- Weekend stays (Friday – Monday, 3 nights).
- Mid-weeks stays (Monday – Friday, 4 nights).
- You are welcome to book for 1 or 2 nights, however, the full weekend or midweek tariff will be applied.
What fish are in the lakes?
- Our lakes are both well stocked with Carp (up to 20lb), Rudd & Roach.
Are there any rules for fishing the lakes on the Farm?
- Keep nets are not permitted.
- Only barb-less hooks to be used.
Can I hire fishing equipment and buy bait at the Farm?
- No, all guests are required to bring their own fishing equipment and bait if they intend to go fishing during their stay.
- Our fish are very partial to bread & sweetcorn!
Are Logs & Kindling provided in Chestnut Lodge & Chaff House?
- In Chestnut Lodge & Chaff House, our 2 properties with log burners, 1 net of logs & 1 bundle of kindling is supplied with each booking.
- Additional nets of logs (£6 each) & kindling bundles (£1 each ) can be bought from our ‘Log Hut’ next to the Holiday Office – just pop the money in the honest box.
River Fishing
- The River Teme is located 1/2 a miles away from Pitlands Farm.
- This stretch of river belongs to the Izaak Walton (Stafford) Anglers Association (IWSAA).
- Day fishing tickets can be purchased from the Holiday Office during your stay at a cost of £5 per person per day.
- We highly reccommdend visiting the river prior to purchasing a day ticket to ensure you are happy with access to the river, sometimes the river banks can be very overgrown and the fishing pegs difficult to reach.
When is the Apple Tree Kitchen open & what does it serve?
- The Apple Tree Kitchen is fully licensed and serves breakfasts, brunches, lunches, coffee, home-made cakes, afternoon tea’s and Sunday lunches.
- Pizzas are served on Friday evenings only.
- General opening hours are:
- Thursday – Sunday 9:30 – 5pm
- Friday evening Pizza Night – 5pm – 10pm
